Step 1 of 3 · Your epitaph

Before you write

Here, the story starts at the end. Travel to the last line of your life and ask: how would you sum it up, so that the whole of it feels deserved? That line is your epitaph. It stands there to remind you what you hope your life will one day become.

What would your epitaph say?

One sentence, 140 characters at most. Third person reads like an epitaph, first person like a confession. Both are welcome, and you can rewrite it any time.

Some epitaphs others have written

“He loved one woman for 43 years and never said it enough.”

“Seventeen years at a job he never liked. Then he stopped.”

“Still working on this one.”
